10.6 eV: Ultraviolet photon energy (the most common VOC detection lamp, covering the vast majority of organic solvents, hydrocarbons, benzene series, TVOC; does not detect methane, ethane)

Gas that can be detected: All volatile organic compounds with an ionization energy of less than 10.6 eV (TVOC)

Benzene,Xylene, Ethanol, Methanol, Gasoline, Diesel, Alkanes (C4 and above), Esters, Ethers, Amines, Oil and Gas, Solvent Vapors; Not detectable: Methane, Ethane, Propane, Hydrogen, CO, H₂S
